Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information may be processed when you use Tidalfist, a turn-based naval strategy game for Android, and how to contact us about that information.
1. Who We Are
Tidalfist (the “Game”) is an Android game developed by Arda Gerekli (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information processed in connection with the Game and its supporting online features.
For privacy questions and requests, email ardagerekli@gmail.com.
2. Information We May Process
2(a). Player accounts and profiles
For Google Play Games sign-in and PlayFab-backed player accounts, information may include a platform player identifier, a PlayFab player ID, a Google Play Games public display name, a nickname you choose, and profile preferences. Authentication information is exchanged with the relevant services as needed to sign you in. We do not ask for your Google account password.
2(b). Game progress and multiplayer
The Game may process match outcomes, turn or battle information, XP, coins, virtual items, statistics, matchmaking information, and online status needed to operate gameplay, save progress, support player-versus-player features, and maintain fair play. Your nickname, selected country flag, and certain match or ranking information may be visible to other players when online or social features are enabled.
2(c). Country flags and approximate location
The Game may use country-level location information made available by PlayFab or other platform services to suggest a default country flag. You may be able to change the flag in your profile. This does not require access to your device's precise GPS location; online services may nevertheless process IP addresses or network information for connectivity, security, or approximate regional identification.
2(d). Technical and diagnostic information
Unity, the device operating system, and integrated service providers may process device and operating-system details, app version, network information, authentication events, performance data, or error reports for functionality, compatibility, security, and troubleshooting.
2(e). Advertising, if enabled
Some versions of Tidalfist may display rewarded or non-rewarded ads. When advertising is enabled, an advertising provider such as Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, ad interactions, and consent or preference signals, as permitted by applicable law and the provider's settings. The precise ads and data processing depend on the Game version, region, device settings, and consent choices.
2(f). In-app purchases, if offered
If optional purchases become available, transactions are processed through Google Play Billing. We may receive purchase identifiers, verification results, and entitlement status to deliver purchased features or content. We do not receive your full payment card number.
2(g). Information stored on your device
Some settings and preferences may be stored locally on your device using Unity or Android storage (for example, PlayerPrefs). Removing the Game may erase local information, but does not necessarily remove information held in connected online accounts.
3. How We Use Information
We and our service providers process information as needed to authenticate players, maintain profiles and progress, run solo and multiplayer gameplay, deliver in-game rewards or purchases, prevent cheating or misuse, diagnose problems, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. Where ads are enabled, information may also be processed to deliver, measure, and—where permitted—personalize advertisements.
4. Third-Party Services and Sharing
Depending on the features available in your version, Tidalfist may use the following services:
- Google Play Games Services: account authentication and platform gaming features.
- Microsoft PlayFab: online player profiles, game-related cloud data, and multiplayer-related services.
- Google Play Billing: processing optional in-app purchases, if available.
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads: advertising delivery and measurement, if enabled.
- Unity: game engine and any technical services integrated into the released Game.
These providers may process data under their own terms and privacy practices. Their general privacy notices include Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement. We do not sell player account information. Service providers may handle data in countries outside Türkiye, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
5. Storage and Retention
Account records, profile information, and game progress may be stored through PlayFab and other platform services; device preferences may be stored locally. We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Actual retention periods can differ by data type and service provider.
Uninstalling the Game does not automatically delete a PlayFab account or records held by Google. Data may also be preserved for a limited period in security logs, backups, purchase records, or records that must be retained by law.
6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may be able to change your in-game nickname, country flag, and other profile settings within the Game. Your device and Google account settings may also provide controls over advertising personalization and platform data.
To ask about access, correction, or deletion of information controlled by us, contact ardagerekli@gmail.com with the subject “Tidalfist privacy request.” Include your in-game nickname or PlayFab player ID if available, but do not send passwords or payment card details. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Requests will be handled subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
Information managed independently by Google, Microsoft, or another provider may also need to be managed through that provider's own privacy controls.
7. Children's Privacy
Players must comply with the age requirements and parental-consent rules that apply in their location and on Google Play. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children where doing so would require consent that has not been obtained. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about information relating to a child, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable precautions and rely on established platform services to help protect game-related information. No online system or method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy as game features, integrations, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised version is published. Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
